A Brief Note On American Society

In a recent discussion, some felt that social classes among people may be the predominant social ill that people may have to face in the future. In the US, there is a huge systemic class problem based on economics and arguably race. But to a large extent, people don't have that metal attitude of treating different class members as different humans or less than humans. There are a few who argue such basic differences in character exists among these classes.

This resembles a situation historians have noted as existed in ancient India, where people took different social roles and performed jobs, but had the basic dignity and flexibility to move from one class to another and even form personal relationships between different classes. It was not a rigid system. But as it most often happens, people reinforced their group identity and eventually the separation became so rigid in the minds of people that they ossified in to different castes with no flexibility of movement. Then those ossified castes broke into hundreds of sub-castes that maintained their rigid social nature..Post-independence there have been consistent efforts to regain that flexibility with some success but a huge gap in achievement as it didn't address the psyche of people and challenged its foundational assumptions. There is something to be learnt from this story in our times and be aware of events and attitudes arising.....

Andro-Gyne Principle And Evolution - Note

Shiva-Shakti

Mahakala-Vishvamatha

Andro-Gyne Principle In the Universe:

The whole universe as an expression of the dynamic interplay of masculine and feminine aspects of the non-dual ground of being is common to several schools of eastern philosophy. Shiva-Shakti or Mahakala-Vishvamatha in Indian philosophical/spiritual traditions and Yin-Yang in Chinese Taoist philosophy parallels the same idea of reality. In the subtle and causal realm, these masculine and feminine aspects have nothing to do with gender in living beings. Carl Jung's idea of anima and animus reflects the presence of these aspects in our psyche regardless of gender. It might be helpful to speculate that even the brain hemispheric lateralization in humans may be an extension of these aspects in the physical realm.

Anima- Animus in the Mental Realm:

Brain Hemispheric Lateralization

Concept Map:

To speculate on the Andro-gyne principle in the universe, it is helpful to think about these concepts as orienting ideas, thinking about the relation between the following concepts:

1) Nama-Rupa (The Theory of Name and Form in Indian Philosophy)
2) Plato's Theory of Forms
3) Andro-Gyne Principle In Classical Philosophy : Siva-Shakti/ Mahakala-Vishvamatha, Yin-Yang
4) Carl Jung's Anima-Animus
5) Hemispheric Lateralization In The Brain
5) Symmetry Breaking And Reality
6) Hidden Dimensions
7) Speculations On The Evolutionary Trajectory
8) The Physics of Imaginary Numbers

Personal Note:

When I grew up i never thought i'll find this deep secret. Deep inside every man and woman, there is a feminine power, often with a female form at one level, driving all of us. And outside there are many forces (categorized as active feminine)  driving you here and there... The deep one is considered wise and the outside ones depends...The sages say to keep our sanity it becomes important to realize the wisdom of stillness and emptiness and live in peace accepting all the Shaktis....That's the way it works..Its hard to accept for many folks, but can't deny it..

There is even non-dual subtle body (Half male and half female)....And much more beyond that....Is this subtle body female form coming from inside or outside my self? There needs to be a boundary to distinguish inside and outside...At the deep level, there is no inside or outside. It is just boundless stuff taking form...

Many classical traditions use masculine and feminine terms to conceptualize deep principles in the universe for a good reason. The reason is also for you to speculate. This looks like a lazy approach to communicate ideas by providing concept maps and asking the reader to fill in the gaps. Each of these concepts require a sound understanding as these form the core of understanding in disparate disciplines of study.

Rather than me doing a half-baked attempt to communicate these ideas wrongly, it is better for people to attempt to bring these ideas together. It will also be great if experts and inter-disciplinary synthesizers come together to lay a broad framework. Can't underestimate the importance of synthesizing all these ideas in a coherent way to reach a better integral understanding of the universe. I'm passing on this note under the door to all of humanity (very few web connections actually). May be it takes several years of training in each of the disciplines to do a reasonably good job of putting all these ideas together. May be I'll have something to add to the discussion in the future.

I guess writing a footnote to all these ideas itself is a great contribution to knowledge people have accumulated over millenia.

Imaginary Conversation Between Materialists Look Alike Of Shiva and Shakti

An imaginary conversation in the tone of Vijnana Bhairava conversation, but with a materialistic paradigm...

Ma baby says:

My lord, who holds all the libraries of the world in the head, I've been listening to endless radio debates about the universe, but I'm still plagued with doubts.

What is this confusing universe into which we find ourselves born?

What is this mysterious illusion called awareness that is shimmering bright, but less so than shopping mall lights?

Ma man says:

Yeah baby. All this came from some hot dense stuff. Billions of years ago, there was some chemical soup on earth. Then information molecules evolved. Then all complex life forms evolved. Now it can ask questions and ponder about the mysteries of the world. Isn't that cool?

The shimmering bright lights of awareness are an illusion reinforced most likely by watching crappy shows on TV and it could even be signs of brain illness.

Ma baby says:

What are these energies that moves us into actions? What are these dancing particles of radiance?

What are these particles moving around here and there? Bosons, atoms and all?

What is life? How can I know the mystery of life and experience it more deeply?

What are these innumerable forms that hope to remain here on earth forever , but vanishes in to thin air inevitably?

My Love, Can I embrace you when you ravish me with the truths about the universe?

Ma man says:

These are great questions I wish I've time to answer. As you know, I'm working on my next research proposal, so I got no more than 30 minutes.  But as a practice for elevator speech, I will give a little intro and point you to references.

It is all energy transformation, sub-atomic particles forming ever more complex aggregates over a long period of time that can talk and ask questions.

To your question What is life? It is all transformation of energy and matter that creates more complex forms of matter. There are several great books like What is Life? by Schrodinger and so many other scientists, you just got to google all these references you know...

Experience of life begins when you graduate, find a job, get a car, condo and earn enough to travel around. Until then it is a half-dead experience living off your parents' pocket. Experiencing life deeply takes years of training our mind to understand graphs and mathematical symbols or some people just dive deep in to seas where they can experience aquatic life. Since we evolved from aquatic creatures, it is diving deep enough i guess.

The diverse forms you see are all evolved beings made of flesh, transforming in to other forms of flesh over time. All beings made of flesh pass on their genetic stuff to next generations and perish. Their bodies decay and that stuff is eaten by microbes that we can only see through microscopes. Yeah all these questions take several years of study to understand. But it all starts with questions. You are on the right track baby.

You look lovely today. But I'm sorry babe, I got to finish this today. And yeah, don't bother me for the rest of the year as I've got several competitive grants to write to beat that other guy in funding money....You know prestigious awards are hard to come by......
